STEP 01: ETCH THE PRODUCT.
Using the rougher side of the Attain Metal Nail file, remove bulk and etch the surface of the product. This will allow the acetone to penetrate and break up your overlay for gentle removal. The more product you remove through filing the faster the acetone will be able to work. Be mindful not to overfile into the natural nail.
STEP 02: APPLY REMOVAL WRAPS.
Apply a nail wrap wet with pure acetone (must be purchased separately) to the finger and allow it to sit for at least 7-10 minutes. Be sure to secure the wraps tightly around the finger to prevent evaporation. The wraps should be comfortable but secure.
STEP 03: REMOVE WRAPS AND CHECK PRODUCT.
After about 10 minutes of soak-off time remove the wraps and check your nails. If the product is stubborn and does not remove easily, file more product away with the nail file, remoisten wraps, and rewrap fingers for an additional 5-10 minutes. Cold hands, length of wear, and thickness of product can all make soak-off take longer. If the product is ready it will flake and lift up and can be easily removed with the cuticle pusher. Never use force or attempt to pry the product off as this will cause damage and thin your natural nail.
STEP 04: GENTLE BUFF.
Gently buff the nails as needed to smooth and refine. This should be done very sparingly to avoid removing natural nail layers.
STEP 06: WASH HANDS AND MOISTURIZE.
Wash your hands with soap and water to remove all acetone residue, dust, and debris. Then apply a moisturizing lotion or cuticle oil to rehydrate your skin and nails. Acetone does not damage nails or skin, but it can be drying.
